People who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must be re-tested on the 5th day after arrival in Greenland. People must quarantine from arrival and until re-test. If the result of the re-test is negative, the person no longer needs to quarantine and can therefore go to work etc.
If you are not able to be tested, you must remain in quarantine at home for 14 days from the day of your arrival.
If you are fully vaccinated, you do not need to quarantine at home when you arrive in Greenland and you do not need to take a re-test on the 5th day after arrival. You must be able to document your vaccination status on request from the authorities.
The day that is your 5th day for testing depends on the day you arrived. See the table below:

Re-testing outside Nuuk
If you shall be re-tested outside of Nuuk, contact your local health centre or hospital for a time and place for the test on the 5th day.
Be aware that coronavirus testing does not take place during weekends outside of Nuuk. See the list of test centre here.
You must pay attention to any symptoms developing during the 14 days after your arrival in Greenland.
You must pay attention to the following symptoms:
- Dry cough
- Muscle pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Sore throat
- Loss of sense of taste or smell
If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you must book a time for a test immediately and go directly into quarantine. You can also telephone your local health service.
